Boss | Guard task lvl 1

Edit: Added a story, I was suppose to really short and simple but as I read through the character sheet and trying to figure out the encounters Reed just pop in and made a mess of things XD

I did it! hahah... well she did it Boss is now lvl 1 guard... all my chars have lvl'ed up

The Dunkle Pack hideout is meant to provide safety for all members who live inside. However, this doesn't mean the brick walls keep its precious inhabitants safe alone. Guards are needed to watch over the borders and the pack entrances to keep any unwanted visitors out. The Dunkle pack is well known for its forest-like landscape, so you must be able to find enemy dogs hiding deep within the green forest depths. In order to prove that you're worthy of the title, you must complete a simple game of 'hide-and-seek.' Kyoto will station 4 dogs in random locations across the forest. Each dog will slowly try to make their way through the forest and into the hideout, it is your job to find them before they do.

Kyoto had seen fit to make me a guard, now all I had to do was find the four dogs that where in the forest before they reached the hideout. I made a perimeter round around the house then I widened the circle, slowly getting deeper into the forest. I didn’t take me long to find the first dog, the big German shepherd mix made such an effort to move quickly that he  didn’t count for his size.

“Jackson” I said calmly making sure he heard me, the tail between his legs and ear flat he crept out of the bush with a small whimper.

“I was that easy huh?”

“The slower you move the harder you are to spot… you tried…”

“Yeah” he huffed “good luck with the rest…” he said sulking of.

I put my nose to the ground keeping to my circle grid formation spiraling away from the house. The familiar smell of another Dunkle dog caught my nose. I followed the trail, this one made an effort trying to backtrack a few times but in the end I found the crème colored Kelevra.

“Kelevra” I announced.

“Nice” he grinned and wandered back. Realizing I had left myself open I too turn my nose towards home, circling the opposite way, that tactic lead me to Reed, of all the dogs…

I must have startled him because he snapped at me with a snarl.

“Reed!  Back off!” He came at me again and I moved clear of him again, this was getting annoying and I was wasting time, I needed to find the last dog.

Relentlessly he went after me, my voice was clam as I tried to bring him back as I backed away, I didn’t succeed, I had to get through to him in another way. Butting into a tree I realized I had to speak his language. Lowering myself and opening my defense for him he charged again, one sideways step and I was clear grapping him by the neck, using his momentum I hurled him face first into the tree.

That shook him, both mentally and physically.

“Reed” I tried again, not letting him go and pinning him to the ground.

“It’s me Boss… I’m sorry I startled you, but this is part of my guard test, you’re in the forest west of the hideout”

“Boss…?” It took a while for the dots connect.

“Let go of me, bitch!”  He snarled.

With an unimpressed grunt I put more weight on him.

“ArgH! Alright! Just let me go”

“Go home” I urged him, before letting him go. “I am not your enemy”

“Bitch” he grunted before he ran off.

I took a deep breath and sighed, shaking the incident off me before carrying on with my mission.

I circled back to the home, thinking that the last dog would be closer as it was their mission to reach the hideout before I found them. My tactic was correct getting closer to home my nose found another familiar Dunckle scent and my suspicions were confirmed, the last dog was Fury. I looked around I could smell him but I couldn’t see him. I had to trust my nose on this one. Getting closer to home I began to come to terms with the possibility that I might have failed…

But then, I realized something and turned.

“Fury”

I turned and found the silver German Shepherd was behind me.

“Well done, I didn’t account for the fact that you would follow me around”

“I saw how you handle Reed, very nice and welcome on board…”
